Definitely worth getting quotes to have it repaired. Over here it's not too major as you just sling in a new piece of timber. If it is shonky the inspection will pick it up, then you may want to offer the asking price less cost of repairs plus a bit more in case the problem grows when they start working on it.

That's the way I'd suggest.  We had to throw in money for the buyer of our last house to replace the furnace.  It was all done as part of the sale, never even noticed it.

If the glaziers have done the usual trick of filling gaps with rubbish mortar mix, it would be easy to repair providing the lintel and surround are stone but if the stone lintel itself has cracked after being attacked by glaziers drill you may have an expensive problem to fix.... and a possible area where water may have already crept into the house.....
