Mine are tiny flavour bombs... fruit are either round about the size of a marrowfat pea, or slightly elongated, depending on true variety. I never had runners with them. None got as far as the kitchen... daddy's sweeties!
They love very well-drained soil, so I add grit 50/50.
Beware of slugs and snails!

am lucking if C bring one or two home, he waiting now for his first lot to ripen, maybe I should grow my own here in a hanging basket, he has got a lot of runners started and got no home for them yet
