We felt it badly here and things shook and moved !!
Mum even fell out of bed - wait till I tell her why when she gets up !!

Reported between 5.1 and 4.5 depending on the news story !!

  I was just going to bed, when the world turned to jelly for a few seconds.  I nearly spilled my hot drink!    And The Bimble has phoned, worried about her back door jumping off it's tracks, and all the upstairs lights blowing.

  Rocky the dopey Alsatian, behaved like a baby for an hour beforehand.  He knew it was coming.

  The fridge, or the milk.  I've just noticed that all the roof tiles, on my flats, (It was being re-roofed) have fell to the floor.  Good job no one was walking about under them!

I was still awake when it happened, I knew what it was because I remember the 2002 one. My telly moved several inches across the room but that is all.

  The 2002 one felt like a car hitting the house.  This one was a little worse.  I guessed what it was, and was a little worried about the structural integrity of the building I live in.  There's a lot of subsidence here from the extensive mining works that went on in the last century, and none of my rooms have straight walls or doorframes, already.

  I used to hate driving through it, as the boring flatness of it, hypnotises you.  You end up wanting to veer off the road, and run into a tree, just to make it more interesting.
