Permission is so hard to get when you're against the beaurocrats unfortunately... I remember another house that was built INSIDE a barn... but is now demolished.

Sorry but I think that house is one of the ugliest things I have ever seen in Surrey - and I grew up there! It looks like a set from a Hollywood film about Camelot!

I wonder if it would be feasible to dismantle and move it rather than outright tear it down. Such creative architecture deserves a home somewhere, even if it's not where it was originally built. St. Fagan's comes to mind as an example of that...
