ok, now I'm going to be a cynic

He goes over there in secret.  Does some "combat" operations.  Ooops, the press leaks the story after 6 weeks.  Out he comes.

It's starting to sound like a planned and orchestrated maneuver to make it look like he did his duty. Not saying that he wouldn't. 

Looks at the pics they've released.  The one with him behind the machine gun.  Grinning like a 12 year old with his first BB gun.  Pics showing him walking around a deserted street holding his rifle.  Look at the bunk he has to sleep on- how must have suffered.

It could be totally legit and if it was, I applaud him for doing his duty. 

But its starting to look and sound fishy to me.

they did interview him over there and film him before the story was leaked. Supposedly for future stuff when he wasn't over there.

Regardless of that, he didn't have to go. Most royals don't and wouldn't.
It is very possible that this was an orchestrated pull out though... the story was leaked a few weeks back by the aussie but for some reason the story wasn't picked up on.
