The longer you leave, the worse it gets... I suggest a rotary electric with a grass skip on the back... I hate hovermowers... and they generally use more power to lift themselves up than they do to cut...

If in doubt borrow a few different ones... or offer to use them in the owner's garden just to get the feel of them...

If it rains, it's best to wait a couple of days or you'll scalp it... if it's over 6 inches tall, set the mower to it's highest setting so you don't take too much off at once... you can drop it lower as the season goes on...

A feed and weed sounds a bit daft too... but grass will eventually need grub or it'll fade away.

Are you planning on composting?

Or Rich and I have a tiny lawn that doesn't even warrant purchasing an electric mower.  It would use more petrol to start it up than to mow the actual lawns.

You use petrol in an electric mower? Is that to heat the boiler, to make the steam that drives the generator?
