Toy weapons 'help boys to learn'

Boys in nursery schools should not be discouraged from playing with toy guns and other weapons, the government says.

Of course Government want to support this, how else will they get kids ready to sign up as cannon-fodder at age 16?

At least it is a step against the PC brigade who want them banned, I'm sure we all played with them when we were kids

I had guns as a child,and a cowgirl outfit.I havent gone around terrorising anyone.Kids need to know what is 'play' and what is 'real life'.

  I used to play with guns, as a child, and it never did me any harm.  However, I don't let my children play with them, because of the Gangsta-Gun Culture, that's becoming prevalent in many areas.  And I find it hypocritical of the Government, to one minute chastise guns, then, when they realise that recruitment figures are down for the Armed Forces, say what a wonderful idea they are.

Both of our son's played with guns when they were kids.
Eldest went on to real guns when he joined the army.

though they still have a water pistol and a toy cap gun that someone else bought....
