These are really bad though.  It's like "OMG, you've got to be kidding me".

Still, there really isn't a slow spot in any of them.

He's got 3 books with the same characters -- Ice Station, Area 7 and Scarecrow.

He also wrote Temple and Contest.  I really enjoyed all of them.

  It's pretty good.  Captures the cramped smelly feeling you must get in a U-Boat.  I only read the English version a month or so ago, this one's the German version, which I'm trying to work through in a bid to improve my bad schoolboy German.
