But only in XP.
it is fine in Linux

it is always an hour behind, i stopped it from synchronising too, but it is still wrong when i restart.

Tried playing with the clock but adjust for DST is ticked, and if i untick it goes back a further hour.

Could be a wonky BIOS setting, or CMOS battery.  If you don't allow it to sync with the net, the only place a wrong time setting can come from, is BIOS.  Give it a check.

checked bios was an hour out, so i sorted and rebooted.

time was fine in linux but still wrong on xp, so i synchronised and it was sorted....

but it just booted into xp after the computer being off and it is wrong again, so i synched and it was sorted...

I really can't be arsed synchronising every time. Undecided

Could be a wonky BIOS.  Are there any patches available for yours?  Or maybe a faulty CMOS battery.  If it's not that, then it's a puzzle to me.  (Of course the fact that it's a dual boot machine may or may not be significant.)

Not, exactly, a cure, Lisa. But, if you install this...

http://www.winsite.com/bin/Info?1000000034325

...it'll put your clock right, on boot-up, without you even knowing it.
