The wine config I open the other way opens up but how the hell do I install someat with it Shocked

Ive tried add package but cant find the darn thing I want to install (its on a cd) Sad

try re-installing wine or checking for updates

I didn't have to do any faffing around, just installed it and then every .exe and windows file i can right click and use wine

You could right click on the exe. Select open with other Application. The list of applications will come up. Click "Use a custom command" at the bottom. Type in wine in the space that opens. Click ok.

sounds like your wine install is borked to me

open synaptic, and choose the completely remove option, restart (that will remove the temp files) and try installing again, if that doesn't work we can try installing it another way

or you are missing a vital library file..
hmmm a bit a digging required... brb!!

did you reboot after removal so it goes to download the files again? otherwise it will just keep on installing what it downloaded originally
