I've been helping the local God-Squad to sort a load of computers out, that they want to send to Africa and for an internet cafe-thingy that they want to start.

The range of machines is from one that's 1.2 GHz down to most, which 150 MHz!!!

Surprisingly, perhaps, Windows 98SE has worked on all of them.

Ubuntu went on two, Xubuntu on three and the rest didn't want to know any Linux distro that I tried.

I've found "Damned Small Linux", though, which looks like it might just do the job.

Failing that, I'm thinking of giving "Puppy Linux" a go.
