   Not mine...  I was told the other day, that from 2018, I won't even be able to renew my passport, if I'm not registered for the national ID scheme.  I don't care.  They can imprison me.  I will NOT comply.

no.. apparently the information doesn't affect the benefit... but it does leave ever single claimant at risk of identity theft.. or worse still theft from their bank accounts if they use their details as passwords.
