Oil passes $126 a barrel

Oil surged to fresh highs, hitting $126 a barrel yesterday afternoon as Opec
  dismissed Washington's calls for production hikes and tensions continued to
  run high between the US and Venezuela. The prices rises were fuelled by the
  continued weakness of the dollar and could not have come at a worse time as
  the US summer driving season gets under way.

It was $3.80/gal while we were out and about yesterday.  We continue trying to reduce our driving as much as possible.  Biking to work when the weather is nice, combining errands on the weekend and not going far from home in general.

Next weekend we hope to start doing some of our longer bike rides and get to places that we haven't been driving to.

Just like the rest of us, fuel costs will inflate the cost of everything... so we'll all get hit even if we use no petrol or diesel.

  Oh yes, but I don't have to fork out £650.00 a week, (Which is what my average weekly fuel bill used to be.) anymore.

My mum gave the Blizzard Book of Toys hoping I would knock out push-along bikes, forts and swingsets for the twins... but his designs are crap and over-complicated...
