New Labour caught out
«
on:

Gordon Brown has said donations to the Labour Party by a property developer through middlemen were "completely unacceptable" and would be repaid.
The prime minister said he had had "no knowledge" of £600,000 of donations from David Abrahams and they could "not be justified".
"The money was not lawfully declared so it will be returned," he said.
Peter Watt's resignation as Labour general secretary was "a necessary first step" but more had to be done.
Mr Watt stood down after it emerged that property developer
David Abrahams donated nearly £600,000 to the party, over four years
, under three associates' names.

No sleaze indeed...
For them everything is OK until it is found to be underhand, illegal or immoral....

I think it's all a ploy to get taxpayers to pay all Party funding... so that they can be seen to be "impartial" with OUR money.
Sod that! If they can't organise their own money legally, no way are they getting any of mine!!

I've said it before & I'll say it Again:
All Politicians are:
1. Dishonest.
2. Lazy
3. Totally Without Any Morals
4. If They say one thing, You can place a 'Sure Bet' that they Mean the Opposite (Particularly Just before/During Any Election!)
I have Only Known of 2-3 Totally Honest Politicians in the last 100Yrs (I have been interested in History of All kinds since I was small enough to See Under a Polling Booth without Bending), They are All 'Pushing Up the Daisies' now!
P.S.
I always thought nobody would ever (seriously) suggest a Military Coup in Britain, But Someone Did The Other day & I surprised Myself By actually Thinking of the Pros & Cons (Instead of Just discounting It).

Not really. My ten step programme would be...
1.) All lawyers to be disbarred. Re-entry to the bar, would require the swearing of a legally binding oath to abide by common sense, and not to take on pointless cases with huge sums of money claimed for piddling little injuries to person or pride.
2.) All lawyers to have their fees abolished, and replaced by a strict, affordable, tariff.
3.) All politicians to be sacked, and anyone who desires to be a politician to serve five years in prison. Where, they'll spend most of their sentence, building more prisons.
4.) All drugs to be legalised and taxed accordingly. Anyone found selling cheaper drugs on the black market, to be executed.
5.) The abolishment of time off for good behaviour, in prisons. You're inside for a crime in your past, and you'll pay for it, no matter how well you behave in the future.
6.) Repeat offenders of
any
crime, to serve the rest of their natural lives in prison. There'll be plenty of prisons, because offenders will build new ones.
7.) Complete withdrawal from the European Union. It's given us more problems than favours, and I'm fed up of us contributing to the rebuilding of Spain. Spain has nice weather, we don't. They should give us money.
8.) New MPs to voted in against their will, anyone to be eligible for political service, in the same manner as jury service. Unless of course, they show any desire to be elected. Pay to be performance related, and no other financial interests to be allowed. Any MP found taking backhanders, to be executed.
9.) All Americans visiting Britain, to be made to stand in a queue for seven hours, for no particular reason.
10.) A big statue of me, looking benign and thoughtful, to be erected in London.

I've always found a knee jerk to be supremely effective, against smug, arrogant, tw@s.... Like Politicians, for instance.

No, I insist. In fact, I'll knock them down to make room for mine.
