Wanted to give blood but had too much iron, then they stopped people of my age giving due to Mad Cow Disease Huh

I was automatically an Organ Donor in the RAF.... but the wife talked me out of it after I left...

Ditto.  Used to give blood quite regularly, but can't anymore due to all of the drugs I'm taking.

I attempted to give blood once in college and of course fainted dead away.  I only weighed 112 at the time and felt they kind of rushed me into in (the minimum weight requirement is 110 I think).

I'd like to try again and have the opportunity this weekend as the church in our backyard is having a blood drive.  However, I am freaky about those things... that fainting was all mental and not physical.

Absolutely! I am going to have no need at all for any of my organs once I'm dead so someone else may as well benefit from them.
My Mum was an organ donor and it helps to ease the feeling of loss sometimes knowing that her death wasn't all in vain.
I would love to give blood but I keep getting tattoos which make me ineligible for 6 months.

Actually, I wouldn't mind donating my skin once I'm gone.  I've seen quite a few unfortunate burn victims who have been saved by cadaver grafts...

Of course, with some of the new cloning/growing techniques, they are able to grow patches of new skin in the laboratory...
