Police have found two paintings and a drawing by Pablo Picasso stolen from his granddaughter's apartment in Paris in February.

They should have burnt them and rid us of this "art"....

Good. I like his stuff. If you think you could do better, then try it. It's harder than you think...

I think our ideas or "art" may be poles apart....

Maybe. I usually prefer to see skillfully painted realisations of 'real' scenes. (Or imagined ones, come to that.) But, I've got an odd liking for Picasso. I think it's because he took the piss and got away with it.

50 yards from my missus' place of birth is the Monet museum of Argenteuil... right where he lived and painted for a long while.... now THAT is a colour-blind artist.... could have been a B&Q custom paint mixer....
"Yes, that DOES look frightfully yellow, but I swear it dries to a pastel blue...."

But how do we know that they didn't see things exactly like that? I know I hear things differently from most folk around me, for an example.

Maybe it was Le Parisen Absinthe...
"Gawd, Manet, I can see all twinkly stars and all the colours are wobbly..... Sod off Lautrec! Get your ass off the floor, stop looking up ladies' dresses, and paint something useful!"

I dunno about Absinthe, but I'd be surprised if their wasn't some narcotic influence in most of their paintings.

Stick the other two onto an empty hot water bottle, and take periodic sips, throughout the night. DO NOT rise until at least ten in the morning. Make sure they're big glasses, lest the treatment is not so efficacious.

Not at all. Respite is a lottery here, too. My Sister is getting married on Saturday, but having a big reception in September. The only reason her MIL can attend, is because her husband is in Respite at that time. But it was so, purely by chance. Otherwise, she would have had missed the do for her only child. (Her Husband suffers from Alzheimer's.)
