Understandable, considering the PC climate we live in...  And the fact that despite you living in a fair sized city, you also live in a sparsely populated area of Britain.

One would think so, but nobody else seems to think like that, unless you fall into one of the PC minorities.

An awful lot of which are self-inflicted.  (No offence to anyone here who is diabetic.  Just stating a fact.)

Wouldn't give a brass farthing for Picasso, when in Majorca on my cruise there was an exhibit of his main disciple and the odd one of his, load of tripe, a 4 year old could have done them

As it was said earlier, it is alot harder to do than it looks. I do respect that art means many different things to many different people, but to me, anything that makes me think or leaves an impact, is art

I would agree, but only up to a point.  I've no time for anyone who uses a team of other folk to carry out their concepts, never lays a hand on the piece, then charges millions because they've put their name to them.  Dreaming up a concept, isn't art.

If you like it, and someone else has made it for people to like, then that's art.

I visited The Sorbonne a few times for free public lectures... and one aged arty farty described art as "Artificial Representations of Truth (True)"... I think he had it 100% right...

We are paying to experience an unreal copy of something that already exits Huh

Looking over La Gorge du Verdun a few days later, I could not imagine a copy being as breathtaking as the original...
