Planted out some Cobra French climbing beans and some Yard-long beans. The courgettes and pumpkins can go out next week with the cucumbers...
I got another rhubarb root for 50p from ASDA... very dry but it might grow... also a Calla called Picasso in the missus' pot that used to hold heather... before the leatherjackets ate all the roots.
I have flowers on my new apple tree and blueberry bushes
6 Crackling Fire trailing plants turned-up as an apology from JParkers plant catalogue. They may have to reimburse me for the duo-cherry 'cos it only has one spur sprouting ... and that's the bottom of the spur!

Courgette seeds don't like damp and cold at the same time... which is why I have left them so late this year...
As usual I have too many, but I'm going to fill the Czechs' garden with them

Big job today and I was glad of the cool weather.
Dig out all the finished compost from one bin, transferred the almost ready compost from the second bin to that first bin, then put all the ready compost into the second bin... all in the name of aeration.
So now I have 1 cubic metre of ready compost and a little more than that in almost ready... and nowhere to put the compostable materials I will generate ....
Hmmm need third compost bin...

I planted some courgettes in the compost heap.... and 3 planters with tumbling toms and peas, a hanging basket with tumbling toms and dangling flowers (
).. need to get another hanging basket liner to finish....
And... I planted some little gem lettuce seedlings outside... I could hear the slugs and snails revving their engines....

I have planted the Aronia (Black Chokeberry) bush that I got for almost nothing from Wilkos... apparently the berries make Poland's Number One ice cream flavour...

The onions are garlic are swelling well, and the currants are covered in young fruit... I'm going to get sick of blackberries too I think... thousands of flowers!
After seeing the forecast of several days of rain, I decided to trim and edge the lawn before it becomes a bog.
Roses are out!!

I bought 2 more on impulse (Queen of Hearts and Night Lady) and put them in pots as they were a little sickly... the roses on them are stunning!
