  I build my own.  The last brand name system I brought, was an Amstrad PC1512.  About twenty years ago.

Dell was the last 'name' system bought. Still going strong after 4 or so years but it's specs are just starting to be a bit less than what I need at present. Their hardware seems to be good quality, overall.

We have all Dell's at work.  We beat the hell out of them and they keep running.

Laptop is Dell, desktop is VPR Matrix (was a Best Buy house brand back when I bought it) and Pam's laptop is an Acer.

I start with Dell and then Hubby adds bits to upgrade it... I have noooo idea what the current spec is!
