Well, if it hasn't, it soon will have, if you update it. Piriform want to "monetize" it, as those pesky Yanks put it.

I believe it started with v5.44, although the ads are more niggles to upgrade to the Pro version, for the most part.

I gave up on CCleaner when the Avast mob got hold of them, because experience shows that they really can't be trusted. Their forum got hacked, a while back, and they blamed SMF, publicly. Turned out that one of their admins used the same password/username on every site he logged on to and it was another site they'd hacked and got his details. They didn't admit the blame publicly, at all.

So... You pay your money (Or not) and you take your choice. :)

Bleachbit had a bit update that allowed for even deeper cleaning, but the terms used are not for the non-tech savvy.

Indeed. Before I posted about it, I ran PrivatiZer. It seems rather good. Again, not for the faint-hearted, though.
