To drive to the hospital, a mile away, the speed limit goes:

30, 20, 30, 50, 15, 10, 5 mph.

To drive back it goes:

5, 15, 40, 20, 30 mph.

But the Labour-controlled Welsh Arsembly wants it to change to:

20, 15, 10, 5 mph.

With the return trip being:

5, 15, 20 mph.

Round here the main issue is traffic lights. I have never seen so many crammed into a small city! Speed cameras are common, too - most the old type but average speed in some busier roads. 30mph is common, even on dual carriageways - we live near the Tavistock Road and it's 30 where we join it, and it's dual carriageway there.

Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.

The main drag through this part of the city has just been dropped from 40 to 30. And the main (dual carriageway with no pavements) out to the M4 has dropped from 70 to 50.
