My anemones are looking lovely and my violas

But something has been digging in my pots. Thrown slate everywhere and made a right mess

Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.

Our days are happier when we give people a piece of our heart
rather than a piece of our mind.

Could be rats, but I think a bird might be more likely

We have't had an air frost here yet, so we still have leaves on the fig tree, roses on the climbing rose, penstemons in flower... and the primulas are in full bloom! It was 17c a couple of days ago!!
We live in a small close where the gardens are protected by woods at the rear and fog in the river valley on old mornings (we're 30 yards from the riverbank... luckily about 15ft higher and it's tidal here so it never floods us out), so our microclimate lets us grow Mediterranean plants - Figs, peaches, palm trees, aloes, etc. This road looks like unless there's a frost on the ground. And we've been here nearly 5 years and never had snow!
