Letter from the missus' GP to say that she is being moved to a generic medicine to save money, further changes will be made over the following weeks.

situation normal here generic is the first choice when available.  same active ingredients. costs the nhs less and given the free script situation in Wales a no brainer

I think this situation stems from the old diabetic consultant who refused to change a prescription to a generic as he didn't trust them. But now he's gone.

Council gas safety check notice.

With a few twists this year: they will want to see gas safety certificates under a year old for all other gas appliances including fires and cookers, plus for any chimneys or vents they are attached to. Plus any gas hoses have to under 5 years' old and changed by a "competent" person.

Failure to give the engineer access will mean a £50 charge.

Failure to allow access on the second visit will mean a fee of £127.56 for lock-breaking and replacement.

And only 12 days' notice!
