I'm assuming that there're many variations of what mums said, when you sat on the back step.

Mine used the very unoriginal "You'll get double-pneumonia". Jane's nan used to say that they'd get chinkcoff/Chin-cough.

 I had Nephritis as a kiddie, Mum always said it was from sitting on the concrete back yard shelling conkers in the Autumn so anyone found sitting outdoors would get ''You'll end up the same as Gillian & I can't look after 2 of you being ill''  :-[

It dies down to nothing every winter. Quite soft and tender.
