HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\PolicyManager\current\device\System.

0 Disabled.
1 (default) – Permits Microsoft to configure device settings only.
2 – Allows Microsoft to conduct full experimentations.

Here's how to stop both that and loads of othe cr*p:

The more I learn, the more I'm steering clear. I have it on my old lappy, just to fiddle with. But, nowhere else.  Ever.

Clone the drive, so you don't have to reinstall?

There you go, then. Sorted. You'll have to do the activation thing, though, and stop the bugger updating to W10.
