Another browser...
« on: November 17, 2017, 09:00:22 AM »
This one's based in Firefox. Been giving it a whirl and, although you can't have any addons, as yet (Security), it seems incredibly fast.

Cliqz.

The search is crap, but you can substitute your own, if you want.

Available for Windoze, Mac, Android and IOS.

I just updated to Firefox Quantum, but have noticed no difference with the 32 bit version.

I still use Opera v12, for most things, and Otter, for the others. The thing that pisses me off, with the others, is that the bloody tabs are always at the top. As my Windows task/toolbar's at the bottom, I want my tabs at the bottom, too. Always have. I can use an extension, with Firefox, but why not make it standard that you can have the bloody things where you want them? I mentioned that, to Cliqz, in feedback and they're going to take a look at doing that. :)

Firefox has been so airy-fairy, for such a while, now, that I haven't used it for ages. It's always felt like something with loads of weird things kinda bolted on and never felt, well, finished.

Kinda like building a soapbox go-kart and always adding bits on and having bits break, or fall off, if that makes any sense.

I'm just going to install the portable version of Quantum, so that it doesn't trample over the existing one.

I use Vivaldi. Works for me. Might try this one though.

Yeah, I use Vivaldi, on sites where Opera v12 doesn't work.

Or, if you'd like the new Firefox, but have the ability to use your current extensions...

Seems pretty good, thus far.

No need to install, just unzip and run, if you get the zipped version. You can get an installer version, too. 32 and 64 bit versions.

This is from the PaleMoon team.
