Around 20 young adults split over 3 front gardens shouted and screeching. Their kids have shut up, now its the parents turn.

A large crane lifting what appears to be a steel shed over the roof of a house in the next street.
Drain bods have been working in a garden opposite us for over 90 minutes. Loads of their vans coming-and-going.

A garden up the road has 2 large marquees in it, loads of cars outside, more than 30 people in the garden..... and they are singing karaoke... badly.
The police helicopter has been hovering about 300 yards away for ages!

Sine 11:30 it's been constant noise from guys cutting pavers for a new drive up the road. Petrol circular saw and a whacking plate.

Yet another place is having the entire front garden paved for parking. An easy job, as the owner just poured concrete over the earth a few years ago, and didn't even smooth it out.
3 petrol disk-cutters are chopping out the boundary line, raising so much dust that it looks like dense fog.
Then the jackhammers will start. :-\

They had to cut out drainage holes as the rain caused water to collect against the house wall above the damp course. I left a 3ft wide drainage area all around the hardstanding I put in.

The 4th call from a south asian woman trying to tell me that smart meters are now required.
There must have been a lot of complaints about standing water on the roads yesterday, because the whine of the gutter-clearing vehicle is resonating all over the area.

One bin lorry squeals like a banshee when they do the compression. I can still hear it from the other side of the area.
An ice cream van. It keeps parking in front of the house across the road where a 6 year old autistic boy lives. His mum has just come out with her dog and frightened the living daylights out of the driver.
She must be having a bad half term already without some dipstick chiming outside her door lol.

It was the same here, from dusk to almost midnight. Not so many very loud ones this year.
Someone in the north of the city has been setting-off very loud fireworks since 5:30. In the rain!

Workers on the flats are still trying to finish the new overcladding. I was told that the skeleton for the insulation was slightly undersized, but the panels are slightly oversized, so there is a lot of cutting going on that sounds like it is next door to us.
The work was due to end by the end of October.

Hedgehogs were being frisky in our front garden a couple of evenings ago. Hours of grunting.
The pre-teen girl gang has been dispersed the past few days as the "popular" girls who gather them together are away on holiday in term time. So no squealing and shouting for a while longer.

This evening's weather forecast is so bad that a lot of places decided to set off their fireworks display at 6pm yesterday. Bl**dy loud!!
There has been a gymkhana across the river from us since last Friday, and we have to listen to a woman yakking over speakers from 9-6.
