Title: Waste collection.
Post by: Tâf on August 10, 2021, 19:25:20 PM
So at first we had 52 collections per year from a large black wheelie bin.

Then 52 collections each year from both large black and green wheelie bins.

Then 26 collections each year from both large black and green wheelie bins on alternate weeks.

Then 26 collections each from a small black wheelie bin and a large green bin on alternate weeks.

Then 26 collections per year from a small black wheelie bin and about 18 collections per year from the large green wheelie bin due to the 4 month winter stoppage.

Since the schedules and systems were changed, we have had late collections, often several days late.

And now they have decided that green bins will not be part of the collection routine "for the foreseeable future please take your green waste to the recycling centre ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE CITY AS WE CLOSED YOUR LOCAL ONE DESPITE SAYING IT WOULD NEVER BE CLOSED".

They recently closed the household waste site on our side of the city due to "underuse" (despite the fact that you had to book an appointment until lockdown ended!). Now we have to drive right over the other side of Plymouth, and the queues are horrendous! >:(
