Council bods are coming to clear the gutters, downpipe and drain that have been blocked for a few weeks. They used to do it automatically once a year, but as with everything, they only do it when absolutely necessary these days.

So I have to wait until they turn up.

They arrived, took a photo, then said they will book it as an urgent repair.

It was already an urgent (1 to 5 days) repair when it was booked 3 weeks ago!!

"We can't do it today as we are not allowed to climb wet ladders".
