Go through the mass of documentation for the colonoscopy. So far I have found 3 out-of-date bits. The ambulance shuttle between our local hospital to the one outside the city was withdrawn during covid, and won't be returning. I was told not to drive there in case they have to give me a sedative, the taxi is £32 one way, so the only option for me is the long bus ride.

Laxatives at 5pm and 7pm. Pack my go-bag for the hospital in case of complications.

I'll jump on the first bus just before 11am. I could take a slightly later one, but that would cut down the time between changes to 7 minutes, and I don't want to risk that due to city centre traffic.

I've not eaten since early evening on Tuesday, so I should feel hungry, but I don't.

Phoned car insurance about bump, phone garage later to arrange loan car and get mine collected for repair

Buses to-and-from the hospital were almost perfect.

The colonoscopy turned out to be a training day for a team of 9 in a tiny room. 30 minutes turned into 2 hours as they tweaked the camera recording. Perfectly empty bowel. 19 polyps found, 19 polyps removed. It was the surgeon's highest number, and they were running out of sample pots to have them sent away for checking. No problems apart from me wanting to fart the CO2 gas out. A bit uncomfortable, but I did it without gas-and-air or a sedative. That way, I was able to come home alone immediately.

Since I hadn't eaten since Tuesday, I expected to feel hungry. And getting up at 4:45 made me think I would be tired. But I'm all OK, and ready for a
