The missus woke up Sunday morning with very blurry vision in the eye that has not had a cataract op.

The NHS told her to see her optician. Her optician had no spare slots, but they found us a place for lunchtime today in a village outside the city. They warned us that parking is nigh-on impossible due to the nearby shops.  :-\

A jag left the only spot in the whole street just as we arrived.  ;D

The optician could not see the back of the missus' left eye, "Candyfloss?" I asked. "That's a very apt name for what I can see" she replied. The UHW just said that she should just come for her normal checkup next Monday.

No plans. The missus will spend the afternoon chatting with her sis online.

I walked to Aldi and B&M for a few things.

Tea was over an hour late. That threw all of us by delaying bedtime by an hour.

Another try with Cats Protection again. The living room looks like a Chinese laundry full of clothes ready to go.

Cats Protection didn't answer their phone (as usual) so I asked a mate. and he says they are closed today with no note on the door.

Tâf

I'm assured that Cats Protection is open this morning, so Pol and I will be there before lunch.

When the missus gets a bed, I shall take Pol up to the hospital with a few more things she forgot to take in the ambulance.

Visit the missus. The visiting hours are very restrictive nowadays, with the afternoon ones being difficult due to overcrowded parking, and the evening one subject to cancellation depending on staffing levels

Pol has been trying to arrange that the missus be wheeled across the hospital to her eye checks, but the staff are being difficult at both ends.

Both the ward and the clinic said they would arrange something and call back. They didn't, and their phones are not answering.

I shall drop Pol off to see her Mum, and then try to donate more stuff at Cats Protection.
