Only part available. Many things like needles and syringes are impossible to find. The syringes use the same parts as this new fat-busting drug, so there is a lack of them to fill with insulin.

The missus was told to bin her 8mm needles and move to 4mm. She did so today. And then the pharmacist today asked if we knew other diabetics who may have spares. "Even 8 or 10 will do, just don't push them all the way in. That is what most hospitals are doing at the moment as there is a lack of 4 and 6 due to their use for the Ozempic injector".

So I just went bin-diving to get the boxes of needles back out. Luckily, all are clean.

The missus has a lunchtime haircut. They don't close at midday now as they need to make as much money as possible as the council is putting up the rent above inflation.

After that I am at a loose end apart from hoping for a call about the prescriptions.

I pulled the door handle off on the living room door. The door has swollen due to the recent humidity and jammed itself. So I shall repair the handle and shave a smidgeon off the door edge.

Our GPs don't even do Well Man checkups any more. I'm sure I am due a tetanus jab, and a lipides test, but the last time I asked I was told they were no longer necessary.

I have a list of things to do, but no will to do most of it.
