Elderly neighbours phoned. Their electric tyre pump won't work. I went over and saw that the centre pin of the plug was missing. They had a look but can't find it. So I loaned them my foot-pump.

Tyre inflated, the car wouldn't even turn over. Dead battery, so I showed them how to use the recharger I suggested to them ages ago. It's now doing its thing.

The elderly neighbour bought a new electric car tyre pump but couldn't get it to work. I just had a try, and the on/off button doesn't appear to work at all.

It'll get swapped this morning.

No plans, but it's too cold to do anything outside.

Was going to change the car battery, but it was flat, got AA out, and it had only been charging at half rate so I have a new battery now with double the capacity and charging twice as quick
