A mate of many years, A Belgian chilli-grower, is in town for a rugby final with a group of his mates. We hope to meet after the match and have a drink and chat. They couldn't find accommodation anywhere near, so have rented a house in Bristol.

My Belgian mate and his 5 French mates finally arrived for the rendezvous half an hour late as the stadium was packed, and it took ages to empty it.

I guided them to a 'spooons that many visitors don't often find, so they ate, and we had a couple of beers whilst chatting. It was really good fun.

Sadly, I had to leave at 8, as the mad council decided that we don't need buses after 8 on a Saturday evening.  :grumpy:

Wind stopped all work in the garden.

It's a Bank Holiday, so no school run to navigate during our shopping trip.

I was amazed how quickly we got around 3 shops with the 2 ladies of the house.

I just have to drop off the missus' prescription list at the GP practice.

I nuked some compost last evening, and have just washed some small pots so that I can replant the tomatoes and chillies that are in the living room.

I took the missus' repeat requests to the GP. A sign said "Drop off today, collect next Monday after 2pm". So much for the touted 48-hour service.

After lunch, I have to drop the ladies off for a clinic at the hospital, then collect them afterwards. Aldi for pop between trips.

The ladies spent ages in the clinic, so we caught the start of the rush hour. I decided to take a short break by taking them to B&M whilst the traffic cleared a bit.

Beans and catmint to sow in the greenhouse. I repotted the tomatoes and chillies last evening.

I have yet to escape to the greenhouse.
