Flu jabs for the twins and myself. The lad is technically not allowed a free NHS one, but the system says he can get one if he "cares" for a disabled person. He helps Pol with numbers, so that counts as "caring".

Then we shall all go to Lidl.

Shopping done, and shopping put away after I cleared the drain at the back of the fridge. Every time I have to do it, I can't find the length of wire to do the job.

Tesco delivery at 11.30

I was going to take the lad shopping, but Pol's ethernet connection failed yesterday, so I suspect I shall be fault-finding with her.

Tesco delivery arrived and put away

The water went off just before lunch. They dug a small hole in the concrete road near us, and found a HUGE void/sinkhole with a very leaky pipe. But they can't get at it as there are so many tree roots in the hole. 4 houses are cut off from the road whilst the thing is fixed and backfilled, and 2 trees might have to be felled after the roots are cut.

The water came back at 4:30. A neighbour had been up to watch the guys disappearing into a meter-square hole to do the repairs. When they cut the concrete square, it just fell into the hole! 3m deep! An arborist visited and strongly suggested that 2 trees be felled this evening as so many main roots were cut. Loads of site lighting has been set up to make it a safer job.
