I was queuing in B&M behind 2 roma women who loaded the checkout with booze and chocolate. The machine refused their card, scanned or inserted, so the manager took the card to try herself.

She asked their surname as the card was marked "Morris". Both women went off like rabbits..... and the card machine popped up a message "Retain card".

Santander is being a bit tardy opening a Cash ISA and a 1-year fixed account for the missus to drop her NS&I winnings into. For me, it only took an hour or so, but so far it's been 5 days for her.
