Noisy binmen, chainsaws, then my bladder told me it was time to rise.

Back is really sore this morning

I thought the sound of the water entering the fishpond from the filter box sounded odd. The heavy ornament that normally sits on the box had been knocked-off. The wooden lid was smashed and the plastic top split, and the outflow pipe moved. That had caused the flow to partially shift outside the pond, dropping the level by almost ²/₃.

I sorted that out, then called the police. 2 cameras had seen someone climbing fences as they moved from garden-to-garden. No reports of anything stolen so far. The intruder is known to them.

Police went door-to-door in the late afternoon, to check if there had been any losses due to burglary.

I was woken by a scam call from BT internet, then another from Virginmedia internet.

The binmen, postponed from Wednesday, were supposed to be here yesterday. Now the website says "no collection due".

OK apart from the back

I saw hardly any other vehicles on the road just now. 9am, but almost zero traffic. That is very unusual.

Back was OK last night, but sore again this morning

I stayed up late to watch TV, but only managed an extra hour in bed.

Back stiff again this morning, seems to be stiff in the morning and then eases during the day

Hermes dropped a parcel off with us for a neighbour.... at 8:15!

Back still sore, but not as bad as yesterday

I woke, got up, but still feel tired.
