Then the binmen just after 7. They are on strike, so only the food waste and black bins are being emptied.

It's our 37th Wedding Anniversary, and still no arguments.

The missus had what I thought was her first ever panic attack just before 4am. She started to calm down, but her lips started turning blue. An ambulance was called, and they said it could take 2 hours for one to be free.

One arrived at 4:30am, and they decided to take her in. I was told not to call the ER for a couple of hours due to a backlog.

I have been phoning the ER constantly, but it cut off after 5 rings before 9am, then rang for 15 minutes at a time before cutting off. Pol has taken over trying to get an answer. :grumpy:

Pol got through to the hospital switchboard. They couldn't get through to ER either, as it is a "dead line" ???

Anyway we were passed to Resus where I spoke to the missus. She has given blood samples and are now waiting on the results THREE HOURS LATER. They anticipate her being kept in for at least 3 days, so I shall pack extra stuff to take to her once they have decided on a ward.

Meanwhile, Pol tried for ages to get through to the Council Emergency Repairs line for the kitchen drain. And the earliest they can the work do is next Monday!

Not much of an emergency then!  :grumpy:

Pol is now in a phone queue to cancel the missus' ophthalmology appointment tomorrow. She started as number 16, and 20 minutes later is number 8!  :grumpy:

The missus is still on the "medical admit" ward, awaiting a move to cardiology. No sign of the consultant. Their policy now is to use GP records to fulfil her medication needs, so I had a very early call to ask how she takes some of them.

The missus was moved from the "medical admit" ward to Cardio just before midnight, when everyone on the wards was asleep. Angiogram scheduled twice, but still hasn't happened. She feels fine, but the consultant, who still hasn't seen her, wants her kept in for the weekend.

I slept like a log until a robot call from the council woke me at 8:15 on a Sunday morning!  :grumpy:

Slightly groggy, felt a bit nauseous last night after the Flu jab yesterday

The council bods will be here to clear a drain this morning, so I'm up and waiting.

Slept a bit later this morning
