I was woken at half seven by a racket in the street that was impossible to identify, and it went on for several minutes. Not the binmen, as they are going to be late today due to the strike backlog.

I was half awake when a loud bang really stirred me. It was just after 9, so I got up and looked outside for the source. Nothing obvious, but when I went outside a short while later, there was a small crowd gathered in the road. A passing neighbour said that it was a 3-car prang, no-one hurt, but a lot of dents.
