I woke, ignored the clock, but my bladder alarm went off, so I'm up now.

Tesco called to see that the missus' missing items were ready to collect.

I got there and a saw a long line of bags getting longer, with people being told that they just had to be checked by the pharmacist.

Almost an hour later, we could all hear the pharmacist chatting on her mobile phone. Someone snapped. "OI! If you were a Punkah-Wallah, we'd all be sweating to death, and you'd be fired!"

Out came the pharmacist "I'm on the phone if you don't mind!"

"Yes, I do mind! I've been waiting for 45 minutes whilst you ignore your job! Get a bloody grip, you slacker!!"

She disappeared for a few more minutes, came back out and told the staff to clear the backlog. The missus' stuff was second to be handed-over.

I got it home, and the missus looked at me and said "They have given you insulin cartridges, not the prefilled pens".

So I took them back and waited 15 minutes until I got served. "Oh shit, that will be the fifth bollocking today. No chance, I'm off" And he left.

Another member of staff looked at the items, apologised, and said she would order them for NEXT TUESDAY!!!

When I was there earlier, I handed back an item that had "DO NOT ISSUE AFTER 9th SEPTEMBER" on the label. I had crossed that item off the repeat request almost 2 weeks ago, but even with their own pharmacist doing a review, it still got issued!

Still zonked, but not quite as bad

I was woken at 5 again, but dropped-off, and the next thing I knew it was almost 11. :o

Mike

Even with the extra hour, had a rubbish sleep

Tâf

I woke too early, but still got up at an hour I would have liked to sleep through.

The 5am wake-ups are back, so it's man-made. If it's a bl**dy taxi again, there will be trouble from other neighbours.  :grumpy:

Pooped without an afternoon nap.  :bed:

Robot calls at 8 then again at 9, to say that another French grocery delivery is arriving "sometime today". :grumpy:

B&M and Aldi were manic as it's half-term.

Our local surgery have no record of the missus' new medication, so they told me to contact their HQ. They would not issue a script as they had not been told by the hospital to issue it.

Then she saw on her screen that they had been told by her specialist to add it to her repeat list TWO WEEKS AGO!

But she wouldn't issue a script until I'd added it to her repeat request, and that would be a repeat request (DUH!) and they don't do them over the phone. And to do that we had to wait another 2 weeks when her repeat could be actioned. By that time, she would be 2 weeks without the new stuff.

"It's not a repeat, it's a new script that is required" I told her. She hung up.   :grumpy:

And meanwhile, Tesco ordered prefilled insulin pens and got another lot of cartridges supplied.

I didn't hear the binmen.  :o  But I did hear the metal fairies and their megaphone. :grumpy:
