I woke several times, the last one was the Metal Fairies with their megaphone just before 9.  :grumpy:

We went to a chippy for lunch. They were having a new price list display commissioned.

There were the current prices on leaflets on the counter. The lad chose 6 chicken strips at £2.80.

Then the display went live. And 6 chicken strips were marked as £3.40. The jumbo sausage had jumped from £1.90 to £2.20, and chips from £2.80 to £3.40.

I decided not to buy anything.

I woke too early, but dropped-off until a reasonable hour.

I drifted in-and-out since before dawn, and eventually got up after 10.

A squeal of tyres as a car came around a tight bend. A THUMP as it hit the speed bump. Then a graunching sound as it slowed to a stop, sliding on one of its front wheels that had detached.  I turned to see the driver looking quite shocked but unhurt.

A queue of cars was already forming behind him, but there's no way through until the car is removed.

Spring Break is over, and the road is already packed with Uni student cars, with more circling looking for a parking place.

A post-lunch nap was very welcome.  :bed:

Why do young people like to slam their car doors? It was like a drum section out there soon after 8. :grumpy:

A 6am start is not nice after all the lie-ins.
