I was about to go to bed when the police helicopter arrived about 200 yards away with its searchlight on one of the tower blocks where we used to live. It was really noisy as it was so low. No chance of sleep until it left.

For the first time in absolute ages, there is not a breath of wind out there. It feels eerie.

[Tâf]

I only woke too early once, but then it was suddenly after 10.

A restless night. Cars driving through the puddles finally made enough noise to get me to give up and get up.

I think it's time to get out the winter quilt, as I felt quite chilled this morning.

The nap was lovely.

Ditto, it was the metal-fairy that woke me finally, gibberish over a loudspeaker.

I was awake before 6, but dropped-off again until a reasonable hour.

Sweaty, the kitchen hot and steamy even with the doors and windows open.
