I slept through until after dawn.

I woke just after 8, rolled over, and the next thing I knew it was after noon.

The road outside the GP was full, so I turned into the pub car park that we are allowed to use. But a white van was parked right across the entrance. The driver looked like he was not going to move until another car pulled up behind me.

He reversed, filling spots 2,3 and 4. I swung around and went into slot 1. The car behind me went into slot 5, blocking the white van in.

I was back in a couple of minutes, and the white van driver was sat in his van swearing and gesticulating, so I didn't rush to move my car.

I turned left out of the car park. He raced out and turned right, straight into the high kerb on that bit of road. The crumpling sound was the sound of karma getting him.

Knackered, I haven't stopped since I went for blood sampling.

I could have slept a bit more, but felt that I had to get up.

No binmen, no taxi horns, no people yakking in the street. So I slept until it almost 10. :bed:

Yet another car blocking a car park, this time on the hospital site. I managed to get through with a few mm to spare, the car that appeared behind me didn't make it, then shot past me and raced off the site.

The badly-parked car was still there when I went back to collect Pol. I stayed out of the carpark as Parking Security was giving it a once-over with a policewoman in tow.

A good kip, but I still feel too weary to take a bus into town to get to the bank.
