Noisy students before 9 woke me. I had to take my prep drink, so I got up. I found a parcel on the porch, in plain sight of passers-by. My beer order was marked for delivery from noon to 3, so I was on the loo when the first half of it arrived, just dumped on the porch again, with a faint knock at the door but no ring of the bell.

The walking postie rang the doorbell to deliver letters, as Royal Mail had silently stacked the last 5 cases of beer in such a way that he could not access the letterbox.

Jackhammers before 9, then on-and-off since then.

My belly is rumbling. It'll do more than that in an hour or so when I take the first shot of gut flush.

UP at stupid o'clock to take part 1 or 4 of the gut-flush. It's not a gush-enducer, but you have to be wary of farts.

The 12:02 bus didn't turn up, and the 12:32 has vanished off the timetable. So I have to hope the 13:02 arrives, or I'll be late.

I just checked on the bus website, and they say our buses will run hourly due to a lack of drivers.

The buses were all over the place today: delayed, cancelled, or turning up at the wrong bus stop.

I got to the hospital with 5 minutes to spare, but was in having the thing done almost immediately.

This year it was just 3 staff, and it all went smoothly. Not 19 polyps this time, just 3 titchy ones and a larger 2cm on the way out.

I am of course bloated with gas, but that will soon be cleared.
