This area had very few dogs a couple of years ago. But this morning showed how many they are now, out in gardens barking like mad since before 8am.

Most round here have a dog, some have two.
And the majority are good owners who keep their dogs in the house and have taught their dogs to bark only as a warning or alarm. The owners walk them and clean up after them. They also spend time teaching their dogs how to behave.
Then you get the ones who couldn't care less, they rarely let their dogs in the house and can't be bothered to train them.

Elderly neighbours had a boiler change.

It has a radio-controlled remote thermostat/controller. The installer fitted the controller in their conservatory, but that is curtained-off during the night and cold months. That means it thinks it's too cold, so keeps the heating for the whole house on. I'll move it into their living room tomorrow, a simple job.

I checked, and not a single radiator has a TRV fitted, but they are a legal requirement.

The binmen were noisy, but at a reasonable hour today.

It's 20c in here, but I feel chilled to the bone.

The entire hospital site was in gridlock again. Why do people think that if they park in the middle of the road, a parking space will magically appear?

The Lidl's car park entrance was blocked by a dead mobility scooter. I helped push it off the road, and someone phoned his home for assistance. But his wife just told him to leave it there and walk home?

The wind throwing rain at the window woke me.
