12c and gusty, but the gloom is brightening.

Ugh. It' started hammering it down, and the radar shows it's with us for ages yet.

There was a distinct pause in the rain, so I set off. 5 minutes later, the deluge returned. Drains unable to cope, so I often couldn't see the kerb until a truck pulled-in in front of me and cleared most of the standing water.

At one point there was a foot of water over 50 yards!

Ditto on the way back. Traffic was creeping along.

I got home and it stopped.....

I watched lighting east of us around midnight. Pretty but silent.

9c, solid blue with a cold wind now.

It did that to me this morning. Me and the dog, her in her raincoat and me in wellies, waterproof and big brolly. Absolutely wet through and just got home and the sun came out. 
So opened his two velux fully in his room for fresh air...five mins later and it lashed it down right onto his bedroom floor
