I woke early, got bored, so got up.

Feeling chilly today and aching joints again.

So fed up with not being able to find work.
I swear if I see another 4hr contract I'll scream.

I finally got through to Government Gateway on the phone to say that is keeps asking for a valid passport number to be able to go any further.

I still had to go through all the rigmarole of entering my name, DOB, address, place of birth, telephone number (they only accept mobile numbers), username, password, then a check code they send to your mobile phone.

The phone answered, and I was asked for either my Northern Ireland driving licence number or PASSPORT NUMBER!!!

I told him that I didn't have either. His answer was "We are not able to access your records without a valid passport number".

AND THEN HE HUNG UP ON ME!!!  :GRUMPY:

Online it says to phone them to get around it. It's a 0300 number, so costs the same as a local call, but I ended-up in a queue for 52 minutes.

I have been trying to use the ID proof thing the Post Office does ("verify"). It keeps saying it has sent a confirmation code to my email, but it never arrives!

I find things like that never send to addresses like Hotmail or similar.
