I went to my postponed dental checkup. No problems, but I was told that from now on, checkups will be a year after the last one, or a year from the last treatment's end.

But I was then I was told that as I was being treated for gum disease, I could be seen every 3 months or 6 months to check my progress and have a deep clean. £47 each time.

I asked when the deep clean would happen, and got a puzzled stare. The dentist was under the assumption that I was having one every 3 months with their hygienist, apart from during the lockdowns. But the last time I had had one, it was the usual 10 minutes, not 30 minutes, and was nearly 3 years ago.

She said that I was bound to remember the procedure as my gums would be numbed beforehand, and an antibiotic gel applied afterwards. Nope, I've never had that, but had been charged for deep cleaning at least 3 times.

She will check with the office manager and hygienist.

I got up early to do some gardening. But it's sodden out there.  :grumpy:

Woke up a few times last night really warm, I thought the heating was on at first but it's not. The bathroom humidity fan was whizzing full pelt.
I'll have to leave the fans running tonight.

I was woken by a robot call telling me that a package will arrive this afternoon. I lay down after that but couldn't drop off, so I got up feeling weary.

Tâf

I've been exhausted all day, with trapped gas. :taf:

Didn't want to get out of bed this morning

I was so out of it that the binmen didn't wake me.

The Practice Manager of the dentist called me at 7pm to say that their computers had failed to book my hygienist appointments, but that it didn't matter as she had decided to stop seeing NHS patients.

But I bumped into her a few weeks back, and she told me that the boss had told her that she was only to see private and insured patients to "increase the cashflow". He had increased her rent of the room and added extra fees for power and water that she never had to pay before.

Tired, last night was very muggy
