I set the alarm for 6:55, got up and watched. An unmarked white van appeared, 6 young guys got out, and 6 others got in. And then the driver slammed the back door. There it is, my waking is due to that.

Half mile from home, and I committed to the main road. I turned the radio on and immediately heard an announcement that the road a mile ahead was blocked due to an accident, and that police would not reopen it for "a couple of hours". Tailbacks were already 3 miles long.

Luckily I know the back routes so was able to peel off and get home in no time. But a bus was blocking the last 100 metres because it was unable to pass a van that had broken down. Myself and 3 other guys managed to push the van down a side road to clear the blockage.

No van door slam this morning. 2 neighbours went over and gave the guys hell yesterday when the van returned at 7pm. Only one spoke English! Immigration has been informed.

Pooped after the shopping trip with the ladies.

I didn't wake until after 10!

[Tâf]

A neighbour who works constant night shifts passed word via the jungle telephone that Immigration officials were ready to pounce at 7 this morning, and got all 12, plus the driver and another 2 from inside the house. The house is supposed to be sealed whilst investigations go on from a previous raid.

I didn't wake until after 9, possibly because I got to bed after midnight after deciding to watch Dune. And no van door slamming!

I woke, but didn't look at the clock until just after 9. 10c outside, but it dropped to 17.5c in the bedroom. Almost time for the heating to go on.

I didn't wake up until after 11

It is nice not to wake too early, it after 9 this morning.

I slept well until the removal van arrived to clear one of the newer neighbour's house at 9. He's leaving to support his parents. He bought the house for £125k and has almost sold it for £299k.

Pooped after shopping with the twins.

The binmen didn't disturb me, but a petrol disk cutter certainly did. Now the workers are hammering something.

No need of a nap today.

They were cleaning the street gutters just after 7 this morning.
