Heavy rain woke me before dawn. It sounded like hail was involved.

I woke, got bored, so got up to find it was just after 9.

I didn't wake until just before 11.

I woke around 8, but laid there for a while enjoying the warmth.

I felt run off my feet during and after the shopping trip. There was a big snarl-up south of Tesco, but luckily I go north.

The binmen didn't wake me because they aren't collecting today due to the strike. Rumour has it that the council have moved to fortnightly recycling collection "to save money".

For no reason at all, I feel totally wound-up and on edge.

I'm up, and bored already.

The lad told me he could smell smoke from Pol's room at 12:40am. I went in and found her and the missus doing something online. Pol said the smell was caused by a bin being against the radiator.

Back to bed, only for the lad to come back at 1:20am, saying he couldn't sleep due to the smoke. So I told Pol to air her room for a few minutes.

Back to bed, only to be woken at first light by the Tesco gulls. No chance of sleep after that.
